Denmark consists of the Jutland Peninsula and over 400 other islands. We recently explored the central region of Jutland over five days. During this time, we saw many interesting sights, but I’ve summarized the highlights you shouldn’t miss if you’re in the area.
Mønsted Limestone cave
The world’s largest hand-carved cave system, stretching nearly 60 km underground, of which we could explore a small part. The most exciting aspect is that we could do this at our own pace without a guide, peeking into the cave's tiny passages.

After the caves, we walked through the steps of limestone processing in an old factory building, where we could climb to the top.

An exciting and interesting program for both kids and adults.
Thorup strand
One of Europe’s last shorelines where fishermen still launch directly from the sandy beach, continuing traditional fishing practices. The boats remain on the shore during the off-season, providing great photo opportunities.

Vejle deerpark
In Denmark, you can find many open deer parks where you can walk in and observe them up close. One such park is located in the city of Vejle, where you can enter by car or on foot and watch the herd’s life or just stroll among them.

Fredericia
Fredericia is the fort city and an important transportation hub in Denmark. The city has a unique architectural atmosphere, but I was particularly drawn to the sandy beach.

Legoland
One of the most visited places on the peninsula is LEGOLAND and LEGOHOUSE. While the former offers huge amusement park experiences, the latter presents interactive LEGO challenges, allowing us to explore intricate details on vast LEGO landscapes and learn about the history of LEGO.
