One of Europe's last untouched wildernesses

Naturum Laponia is more than just a visitor center: it’s the gateway to a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the Sámi people have been herding their reindeer for centuries, and the mountains look as if they were painted into the landscape.

Hiking trails for every level, and in the café you can taste the region’s finest reindeer sausage with ghákku, the traditional Sámi flatbread.

The park includes four national parks and covers an area roughly the size of Hungary, but only about 50,000 Sámi live here, in tundra and mountain conditions.
